Registration

Please return the completed enrolment form by mail, by fax or online to Sprachinstitut Tübingen SIT.
As soon as the SIT has confirmed the enrolment (by letter or Mail) it is regarded as binding for both parties.

Terms of payment

Together with the written confirmation of registration, the course participants will receive the complete travel documents and an invoice via e-mail.


Intensive Courses:
Upon receipt of the invoice, a deposit of 20% of the total cost is due by bank transfer to our bank account. The balance must be transferred to our account at least 10 days before the start of the course. Proof of payment must be submitted on the first day of the course at the latest.

Completed courses (e.g. exam preparation courses):
Upon receipt of the invoice, the course fee must be transferred to our account at least 10 days before the course starts. Alternatively, the course fee can also be paid in cash or by card at the SIT office at Eugenstraße 71.

telc examinations:
The examination fee must be paid at the latest by the day of the respective registration deadline (during our business hours) either in cash or with a card in the SIT office at Eugenstr. 71 or by bank transfer to the account stated below.

Withdrawal

Intensive Courses:
For cancellations up to 2 weeks before the start of the course, we charge a processing fee of € 180.00. For cancellations at a later date, we charge 50 % of the total course, accommodation and catering fees, but not more than € 511.00.

Completed courses (e.g. exam preparation courses):
For cancellations up to 10 days before the start of the course, we charge a processing fee of 30% of the course fee. In case of later cancellation there is no right to a refund.
 
telc examinations:
Please note that a registered exam cannot be cancelled. The examination fee (including possible delay surcharge) therefore also applies in the event of non-appearance or cancellation and cannot be refunded. In case of cancellation due to illness, half of the fees can be refunded. A medical certificate is mandatory and must be submitted no later than one day after the examination. (By e-mail to sit@ib.)

Withdrawal after the beginning of the Course

After the commencement of a course, notice of the intention to withdraw must be given at least 4 weeks in advance. In this case all excess payments will be refunded. In cases of severe illness, accident etc. a partial refund of up to 75% of the course fees can be made on condition that the school authorities are notified at the earliest possible opportunity.

Cancellation by the organizer

Completed courses (e.g. exam preparation courses):

The Sprachinstitut Tübingen reserves the right to cancel courses at short notice if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In this case we will refund the full course fees.

Cancellation

If lessons are cancelled due to a public holiday, there is no right to reimbursement of fees, nor can lessons missed due to personal negligence be refunded.

Accommodation

During the course notice must be given two full calendar weeks in advance in case of cancellation of accommodation.

Insurance

Individual participants are not covered by health, accident or liability insurance by the institute or the host family.

Liability

The Sprachinstitut will duly render the services stipulated in the contract. Should however a course participant request a refund, the amount of course fees to be refunded will be reduced proportionally.
In all cases contractual liability is limited to three times the total course fees paid unless the damage was caused deliberately or by gross negligence. The Institute is not liable for industrial disputes (strikes)
or acts of God.
